Electrostatic Painting

How it Works

Electrostatic Paint is used to paint existing on-site architectural metal with no over spray or mess. This treatment consists of atomized paint particles that become electrically charged as they emerge from sprayer. The atomized particles are attracted to the object being sprayed due to the creation of an “electrostatic” field.  Electrostatic Painting is used for its high transfer efficiency from the spray gun to the surface and its corresponding low rate of overspray.  This means less overspray with less waste of paint and also less VOC emissions into the atmosphere.  We suggest special coatings such as polyamides, epoxies and catalyzed acrylic urethanes which offer a tough and long-lasting exterior finish with excellent gloss retention and color stability for outdoor jobs. A paint pre-treatment is performed to the metal surface before any coating is applied. Metal primers are applied to establish maximum adhesion from galvanized metals to steel fabrications, or vinyl wash primers.

Electrostatic Paint can be used on:

  • Floor elevators doors and frames
  • Restroom Partitions Metal entrance doors and window framings
  • Exterior light fixture poles Railings Exterior A/C units and Industrial equipments

Why use Electrostatic Paint?

Electrostatic painting is an efficient process where you can upgrade the appearance of your office at a fraction of the replacement cost. Desks, file cabinets, lockers and more can be painted in place with no worry about drips or overspray. It's much more durable than liquid paint and it's an environmentally friendly process because there are no solvents to evaporate into the air or go down a drain. A range of thousands of colors and metallic effects are available.
